Safety Guidelines

Last updated: January 2026

Meaningful connections begin with safety. These guidelines help you protect yourself, online and in person.

Protect your personal information

  • Never share your address, financial details, or government IDs.
  • Be cautious sharing your last name, workplace, or daily routine early on.
  • Use Soulr's in-app messaging until you fully trust someone.

Spot red flags

  • Requests for money, gifts, or financial help — always a serious warning sign.
  • Pressure to move conversations off Soulr quickly.
  • Stories that don't add up or refusal to video chat.

Healthy conversations

Take your time. Soulr is designed for depth, not speed. It's okay to pause, set boundaries, or end a conversation that doesn't feel right.

Meeting in person

  • Meet first in a public place during daylight when possible.
  • Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
  • Arrange your own transportation, both ways.
  • Trust your instincts — leave anytime you feel uncomfortable.

Report concerns

If something feels off, tell us. Email support.soulr@gmail.com with any safety concern. Our team reviews every report personally.

You're not alone

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services. Your wellbeing always comes first.

Our commitment

We work continuously to detect abuse, remove harmful accounts, and respond to reports quickly. Soulr is small enough to care, and serious enough to act.

We're building Soulr to create meaningful relationships.

If you have questions, we're here to help — real humans, not bots.
